Short answer

Choose an AI visibility platform by matching its evidence, collection methods and workflow to your team's decisions. This guide compares published information for Arrow GEO, Peec AI, Profound and Ahrefs Brand Radar, then gives a practical evaluation protocol. Arrow publishes it as a platform provider with a commercial interest; no comparative product test or universal winner is claimed.

Start with the decision and the person doing the work

A marketing analyst investigating citations needs different support from a founder trying to correct product information. An enterprise team may also require access controls, multiple markets and a reliable export process. List the decisions, owners and existing tools before comparing feature grids.

Write three tasks for an evaluation: find the sources behind a response, explain a change in observed recommendations and turn a finding into an assigned website improvement. Define what successful completion looks like and how much analyst time is available.

Separate measurement from implementation. A subscription that displays findings may be a good fit when your team can act on them. If the team lacks publishing capacity, include that requirement explicitly when evaluating the overall solution.

Compare categories by what they help you do

These categories describe roles, not verified capabilities of every product within them. Some platforms combine several roles. Ask a provider to demonstrate the exact capability and package you would purchase.

Four named platforms: official-source comparison, September 8, 2026

The entries below summarize official product pages and documentation checked on September 8, 2026. Arrow capabilities were checked against the prepared local implementation and its product scope; these changes await publication and have not been verified in production. No paid trial, account test or vendor accuracy benchmark was performed. Row order is alphabetical, not a ranking.

A model API, a consumer chatbot interface, a search-result feature and a research index produce different evidence. Ask for the exact surface, region, session context and capture method before comparing percentages. Published plan inclusions are not proof that an observation succeeded.

Ahrefs Brand Radar: evidence, scope and limits

Research brand visibility in an existing question index and track custom prompts.

Collection. Its documentation lists Google AI Overviews/AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot. It describes web-interface collection for these channels; Claude custom prompts use an API with web search. Grok collection is temporarily paused. Method.

Price and inclusions. USD 199/month per AI index; USD 699/month for all indexes with 2,500 custom checks. Custom-only Basic: USD 50/month for 2,500 checks, then USD 0.020/check. Pricing.

Comparison limit. The research index is built from search-backed questions, not a census of all AI conversations. Claude is custom-prompt-only and consumes eight checks per update. Do not compare index coverage with a seven-question trial as if they sampled the same audience.

Arrow GEO: evidence, scope and limits

Inspect public page readiness, review configured provider API answers, and scope website improvements.

Collection. The reviewed code includes OpenAI, Perplexity, Gemini, Anthropic and Groq API connectors, each requiring configuration. Copilot and AI Overviews connectors are unavailable. Consumer search results require separate recorded observations. Product scope.

Price and inclusions. Initial audit: USD 0. Team software: USD 199/month, with domains, quotas, access and provider costs confirmed before activation. Managed work is separate: USD 990 setup plus USD 490/month for GEO Start under a scoped proposal. Pricing.

Comparison limit. The current API panel uses five category prompts; it is not a representative consumer-search benchmark. Technical checklist scores and confirmed API brand references are separate. The inspected code does not establish that providers are configured or that consumer interfaces were measured.

Peec AI: evidence, scope and limits

Track selected prompts, brand mentions, position, sentiment and source opportunities over time.

Collection. Starter lists ChatGPT, Google AI Mode/AI Overviews, Copilot, Perplexity and Gemini as choices. Its documentation describes web-interface collection; the pricing grid separately labels additional API models, including Claude Sonnet and GPT Search.

Price and inclusions. Starter: 50 prompts, three selected models, daily tracking, one project and unlimited users. A current numeric price and currency were not verified from the accessible pricing page; Enterprise uses a custom quote. Confirm the selected billing term and add-ons with Peec.

Comparison limit. Three selected models do not mean every listed model is included. Keep UI observations separate from API options, and verify country and project limits for the package you would buy. No Peec account or capture accuracy was tested here.

Profound: evidence, scope and limits

Monitor brand answers and sources, then support content work through its Agents offering.

Collection. Answer Engine Insights declares consumer browser capture. Starter covers ChatGPT; Growth adds Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Broader Enterprise capabilities include AI Mode, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, Grok and DeepSeek.

Price and inclusions. Pricing displays Starter at USD 99/month: 50 prompts, ChatGPT only, 100 Agents credits/month. Growth displays USD 399/month: 100 prompts and three engines. A yearly-billing option is shown; confirm the selected billing commitment. Enterprise is quoted. USD is the default in the subscription terms.

Comparison limit. The broad platform list is not the Starter entitlement. Starter excludes exports in the plan matrix; Growth lists CSV/JSON but no API access. Verify the required evidence-export and interface coverage in the specific plan before purchasing.

Use official reporting as a reference point

Google Search Console's Generative AI report exposes impressions in its covered search features. Bing AI Performance exposes citation activity across supported experiences. Neither should be represented as a complete cross-platform brand recommendation dashboard. Google's report definitions and Bing's report introduction.

Ask what a paid product adds to those views: an explicit question panel, useful evidence records, analysis, collaboration or another demonstrated capability. Decide whether that addition solves a current need and fits your workflow.

Do not assume that a vendor's chart reproduces a provider's internal ranking system. Google's guidance warns that third-party tools do not have access to its internal ranking or AI systems. Google's official guidance.

Run a small evaluation with your own questions

Give each candidate the same five commercial questions and two identity checks, labeled separately. Choose questions from actual buying conversations. Request a live walkthrough or trial evidence for the specific setup, rather than accepting only a prepared success example.

Inspect the complete answer behind a chart. Find its sources, timestamp, language and collection method. Check how a shared brand name is resolved. Ask the provider to show a failed collection and an answer with no brand mention.

Repeat the small sample under comparable conditions. This is a functional evaluation, not a market-share study. A provider performing well on seven questions has not demonstrated universal accuracy.

Use the measurement reference to assess whether citations, mentions, recommendations and estimates are separated.

Score fit with explicit evidence requirements

Record each requirement as demonstrated, partially demonstrated, unavailable or not tested. Unknown is a useful procurement result. Do not replace it with a favorable estimate because a feature sounds plausible.

Give extra weight only to requirements your team actually needs. If raw exports are mandatory, a polished dashboard does not compensate for their absence. If someone else will publish changes, define how the work moves from finding to reviewed release.

  • Evidence: full outputs, visible sources, dates and understandable collection context.
  • Controls: editable questions, separate markets and stable cohorts for comparisons.
  • Measurement: clear denominators, missing-data handling and honest labels for estimates.
  • Workflow: export format, task ownership, review process and ongoing maintenance.
  • Commercial fit: actual usage limits, onboarding, support, renewal terms and total effort.

Include the work around the subscription

Calculate an internal cost estimate that includes subscription, collection usage, review time and implementation. Separate one-time setup from recurring work. The dated comparison above is a source snapshot; verify current prices, taxes, billing commitments and limits directly before deciding.

Ask who reviews unexpected results, corrects product facts and maintains the question panel. A low subscription price can still require more internal work than the team can provide.

Arrow offers a free audit and describes its GEO engagement and scoped implementation process on the pricing page. Assess the platform information against your requirements and request evidence of the particular features and measurement coverage you need. This description is not an independent validation of product performance.

Make the choice reviewable

Prepare a short decision record: selected category or product, demonstrated requirements, unresolved gaps, expected workload and review date. Retain the trial outputs so that future reviewers can understand the choice.

If no option meets a mandatory requirement, narrow the scope or delay the purchase while resolving that gap. The next review should test whether the tool helped the team make better decisions and complete useful work, alongside any observed visibility change.

Connect the evaluation to the 90-day improvement process so that measurement has a clear operational purpose.
