If you already own a reliable GEO foundation, creating every platform slug is not automatically a win. It is usually better to start with one strong hub per topic, then add platform pages only when a query cluster, evidence, and conversion opportunity justify the maintenance cost.
Decision rule: one page, one commercial decision
For GEO, the question is not “how many URLs can we create?” but “how many distinct commercial decisions can this content answer.” If your page title is only a different engine name with the same body content, that is technical bloat, not strategic coverage.
Use a 3-level scale model
| Level | Condition | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Core | Cross-surface buyer intent, common comparison questions, stable evidence. | Keep one canonical source page with clear sections + FAQ blocks. |
| Need | Different decision criteria by geography, industry, or buyer role. | Build one page family (industry, role, or use-case variants). |
| Expansion | Engine-specific phrasing, citation behavior, and strong monthly signal differences. | Add engine-specific pages only with a dedicated owner and update cadence. |
When your 88 intended slugs become the right move
Your current batch (about 4 + 84 platform-industry intent slugs) is feasible only if three conditions are true for each URL:
- Clear unique intent: each page answers a different buyer question and not only a cosmetic variant.
- Source quality: each page can be updated with proof, dates, and boundaries without making maintenance impossible.
- Measurement signal: you already track engine-by-engine prompt response shifts, conversions, and correction loops.
If you cannot assign weekly owners for updates and monthly evidence review, then fewer pages done well are better than many pages with stale content and no ownership.
Recommended plan for your list of slugs
Run this in three phases:
| Phase | Goal | Output |
|---|---|---|
| 1) 3–4 weeks | Create the shared GEO engine authority core | Publish one complete article per pillar plus one industry benchmark page. |
| 2) 5–8 weeks | Build highest-intent gaps | Add 20–30 high-value page variants with high-confidence evidence. |
| 3) After 2 months | Scale only where returns exist | Expand toward 70–80+ URLs only after sustained lift and ownership are in place. |
In this model, you can still target all engines, but through intent architecture first and then scale where evidence is clean.
For teams managing many domains or services, this protects you from dilution. You keep your brand narrative clean and your technical team from editing 80+ thin pages with mixed outcomes.
